Electrical Design Engineer with Wiring Harness exp.

Wiring harness experience is mandatory with Excellent Communication skills


New Product Design & Development

1. Execute engineering related activities linked to wire harness and component design & development programs for existing and new customers (from concept to production) including:

A) Preparing technical proposals/presentations related to customer's RFQ for W/H and component design & development.

B) Preparing 2D W/H drawings and schematic drawings using CAD software (CHS XC).

C) Analysis of power distribution system in order to confirm customer requirements.

D) W/H routing design using 3D CAD (CATIA) from customers vehicle data.

E) Analyze W/H routing to eliminate mechanical and process related concerns.

F) Design and development of W/H related components from W/H routing data using 3D CAD (CATIA).

G) Prepare component 2D drawings by CAD software (CATIA).

H) Component analysis to eliminate space and workability concerns.


Wiring Harness Benchmarking and Redesign (VA/VE) Activities

1. Benchmark competitors products and improve our products:

A. Quality

B. Cost

C. Workability (process related improvements)

D. Reliability


2. Make proposals to customer in order to increase Yazaki part content on customer vehicles.


3. Recommend improvements to customers processes related to W/H.


Document and Data Management

1. Storage of 2D and 3D data in designated folders

2. Controlled access to 2D and 3D data

3. Maintain confidentiality of all documents and data.

4. Maintain documentation of daily activities


Training

1. Understand customer specifications related to W/H and component design and development.

2. Design and manufacturing related training based on Yazaki R&D global practices.
